Honored to be part of the reading of “The War at Home,” which highlights real-life experiences of female veterans when they return home from serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Writer/Veteran Rebekah L. Pierce and fellow female veterans have stories to tell that are not pretty, but they are real, and they are happening more than the country wants to admit. “The War at Home” shows the injustices women who serve deal with in their own, private homes. It features the fictional, but reality-based U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Belinda Oglesby who returns home from serving her second tour in Afghanistan to find her family falling apart, and realizes that the toughest battles in life are the ones fought at home.

The Stage reading will take place at “The Great Room” – South Oxford Space, 138 South Oxford Street in Brooklyn, NY.
